JOB DESCRIPTION
Safety Officer is responsible for safeguarding people's lives and properties by planning, formulating, implementing, and supervising fire safety plans that take care of specific fire and life safety systems.
Implement & maintain health & safety standard as per company SHE policy.
Carrying out regular plant/site safety inspections.
Report all accidents, near miss, unsafe conditions & unsafe act on daily basis as per company procedure.
Conduct initial root cause analysis for incident/accident investigations.
Ensuring that equipment/machines are running safely with safety guards.
Issuing Permit To Work (PTW) & conduct Tool Box Talk (TBT).
Educate company & contractual employees about safe work practices & conduct mock drills on regular interval.
Ensure adequate availability of fire-fighting equipment & first aid boxes at plant.
Ensuring availability & correct use of all PPEs by workers on site as per matrix.
