JOB DESCRIPTION
Health & Environment Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the water treatment plant manufacturing facility.
Implement occupational health programs to ensure employee well-being.
Monitor workplace health hazards such as noise, dust, chemicals, and ergonomics.
Ensure compliance with environmental laws and pollution control board (PCB) norms.
Monitor wastewater, effluent, and emissions from manufacturing activities.
Maintain statutory environmental and health records and registers.
Prepare and submit reports to Pollution Control Board and other authorities.
Conduct health, safety, and environmental awareness training for employees and contractors.
Investigate health-related incidents, environmental spills, and near misses.
Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
Continuously improve health and environmental performance of the plant.
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, PCB norms, and occupational health practices.
Experience with water treatment processes, chemicals, and ETP operations.
Good documentation, reporting, and audit handling skills.
Effective communication and training abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
