JOB DESCRIPTION
The Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting design team, developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems within the automotive manufacturing environment.
Coordinate with design, develop, and implement automation solutions for automotive manufacturing and assembly processes.
Supervise installation and setup of automation and control systems.
Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure compliance with design requirements.
Diagnose and resolve PLC, robotics, HMI, and control system faults in a timely manner.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
Analyze production data to identify process bottlenecks and automation improvement opportunities.
Participate in machine risk assessments and maintain documentation for compliance audits.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including electrical drawings, I/O lists, and system manuals.
Plan, execute, and monitor automation projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Provide technical training to operators, maintenance staff, and junior engineers.
Recommend and implement technological upgrades to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
