JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced CATIA Designer with 6+ years of expertise in automotive product design and development.

1. Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5/V6. 2. Design and develop automotive components such as sheet metal parts, plastic components, BIW parts, interior and exterior trims, brackets, fixtures, and assemblies. 3. Perform feasibility studies, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design validation. 4. Review customer specifications, standards, and technical requirements. 5. Develop GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering documentation. 6. Coordinate with tooling, production, quality, and NPD teams during product development. 7. Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities. 8. Implement engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and maintain design revisions. 9. Participate in design reviews and customer meetings. 10. Ensure designs comply with automotive standards, quality requirements, and manufacturability considerations. 11. Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials), DFMEA inputs, and technical reports. 12. Support APQP, PPAP, and new product development activities. 13. Collaborate with suppliers and customers for design modifications and approvals.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

* Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 (Part Design, Assembly Design, Surface Design, Drafting, Sheet Metal modules). * Excellent knowledge of automotive product development processes. * Experience in sheet metal, plastic, casting, forging, or BIW component design. * Understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards. * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling requirements. * Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and automotive quality systems. * Ability to interpret customer drawings and specifications. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Good communication and teamwork abilities.
