JOB DESCRIPTION

The Fitter is responsible for fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, structural components, and fabricated items as per drawings and specifications. The role requires accuracy, safety awareness, and coordination with welders, supervisors, and engineers. Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and fabrication sketches. Marking, cutting, grinding, and fitting of pipes, plates, beams, and structural members. Assemble piping systems including flanges, valves, supports, and fittings. Align and position components for welding as per tolerance requirements. Perform pipe fit-up for carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials. Carry out structural fitting works such as platforms, ladders, handrails, and supports. Ensure proper use of tools like grinders, gas cutters, measuring instruments, and power tools. Check dimensions, levels, and alignments before and after fitting. Assist welders during welding and ensure joint preparation standards are met. Follow safety rules, PPE usage, and company HSE policies at all times. Maintain housekeeping at the worksite. Coordinate with supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge of piping standards, fittings, and fabrication practices. Ability to work from drawings and site instructions. Familiar with fabrication tools and measuring instruments. Physically fit and willing to work at heights and confined spaces. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
