We are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our Material Handling, Storage Systems, and Industrial Automation team. The candidate will support the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of material handling equipment, warehouse storage systems, conveyors, and automation solutions. Freshers with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
1. Assist in the design and development of material handling and storage system components.
2. Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
3. Support production and fabrication teams during manufacturing and assembly activities.
4. Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of conveyors, racks, automated storage systems, and industrial automation equipment.
5. Monitor project progress and coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and site teams.
6. Conduct inspections and ensure components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
7. Prepare technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), work instructions, and reports.
8. Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during manufacturing and installation.
9. Follow company safety standards and engineering best practices.
10.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Basic knowledge of material handling systems, conveyors, storage racks, or industrial automation.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (preferred).
* Understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Basic knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, chains, and belts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and support when required.
* Knowledge of warehouse storage systems, pallet racking, ASRS, or conveyor systems.
* Familiarity with pneumatic systems and industrial automation concepts.
* Exposure to ERP systems and MS Office.
