JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Production/Operations Manager to oversee the daily manufacturing operations of our VMC and CNC Lathe machining facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, process optimization, quality assurance, workforce management, and on-time delivery while ensuring maximum productivity and cost efficiency.

1. Manage day-to-day operations of VMC, CNC Turning, Milling, and other machining processes.
2. Develop and implement production plans to achieve delivery schedules and customer requirements.
3. Monitor machine utilization, production efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
4. Lead and supervise production teams, machine operators, supervisors, and support staff.
5. Ensure adherence to quality standards, process controls, and customer specifications.
6. Coordinate with design, planning, quality, maintenance, and supply chain departments.
7. Analyze production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Monitor tooling requirements, machine maintenance schedules, and production costs.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
10. Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to management.
11. Support new product development, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

* Strong knowledge of VMC, CNC machining, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
* Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and capacity utilization.
* Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement practices.
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting.
* Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
* Experience in precision machining, automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or heavy engineering components.
* Proven track record of improving productivity, reducing rejection rates, and meeting delivery targets.
* Exposure to ISO quality systems and customer audits.
