We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our Structural and Piping Engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in fabrication, production, quality control, project execution, and site coordination for structural steel and piping projects. Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
1. Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of structural steel and piping fabrication projects.
2. Review engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and isometric drawings.
3. Coordinate with production, fabrication, quality, procurement, and site teams to ensure timely project completion.
4. Monitor fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
5. Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), material requisitions, and daily progress reports.
6. Support quality inspections and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
7. Assist in monitoring production schedules and material availability.
8. Conduct dimensional inspections and verify fabricated components before dispatch.
9. Participate in site installation, testing, and commissioning activities when required.
10.Identify technical issues during fabrication or installation and assist senior engineers in resolving them.
11.Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and quality procedures.
12.Maintain project documentation, reports, and engineering records.
1. Basic knowledge of structural steel fabrication and industrial piping systems.
2. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, GA drawings, and engineering documents.
3. Basic understanding of welding processes, fabrication methods, and machining operations.
4. Knowledge of engineering standards and quality inspection procedures.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is an advantage.
6. Familiarity with MS Office applications.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
