We are looking for a responsible and proactive Safety Officer to ensure a safe and healthy working environment at construction sites. The ideal candidate will monitor safety compliance, conduct inspections, identify hazards, and ensure that all employees follow company safety policies and statutory regulations.
1. Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
2. Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
3. Implement and monitor safety procedures and risk control measures.
4. Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for workers and staff.
5. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
6. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
7. Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and documentation.
8. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.
9. Monitor work at height, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, and confined space activities.
10. Ensure safety signage, barricading, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
11. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on safety matters.
12. Report unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
13. Ensure compliance with client safety requirements and statutory safety standards.
* Good knowledge of construction safety practices.
* Strong communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to identify hazards and conduct risk assessments.
* Knowledge of PPE, emergency response, and accident investigation.
* Familiarity with safety documentation and permit-to-work systems.
* Team player with good leadership, communication and observation skills.
